June has begun with the largest storm in Massachusetts that I have seen. Our thoughts are with the folks in western Mass who are picking up the pieces.

In Bedford and surrounding towns we witnessed prolonged lightning activity and rain. A few hail stones were knocking at my windows at times. It was an intense evening to say the least! We love to see the rain at this time of year. I had noticed an area in my lawn that had started to show summer stress. Last nights downpours and the promise of week long cooler temperatures should promote lush green lawns for many weeks; that is for those of us who choose not install an irrigation system.
